Crew Profiles: Captain Adam Cunerd - American Captain Adam Cunerd started boating at the age of 8 with his family and neighbors on the Severn River just outside of Annapolis, MD. Water-skiing, fishing and cruising were his favorite activities through the years, expanding eventually into the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. In his later teenage years and twenties working at various marinas in the area, he became more involved in the handling, maintenance and mechanics of boating. He attended Chapmans School of Seamanship in Stuart, Florida, which helped him make his decision to be working on private yachts as a professional crew member. Attaining his masters license in 1993, he has traveled the Great Lakes, East Coast north to Nova Scotia, Florida, Mississippi River, Ten Tom Waterway and its tributaries gaining the knowledge and skills to be a confident Master. Adam's cruising experience includes the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway, Canadian Maritimes, New England, the East Coast of Florida, the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi river and the Ten Tom Waterway. First Mate Casey Ohms American Casey Ohms was born and raised in Bellingham, WA, just 90 miles North of Seattle in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. He began his boating career at birth on his fathers sailboat, and has continued cruising in both fresh and salt water with his families aboard a variety of watercraft throughout the scenic San Juan Islands, Canadian Gulf Islands, and Desolation Sound. Casey worked throughout his high school and college years as a specialized clerk and sales associate at Redden Marine Supply where his love and knowledge of boats flourished. He attended Western Washington University in his hometown, and graduated in June of 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies. Caseys love of boats and being on the water is unsurpassed, and he plans on working his way to becoming a captain of yachts. Chef Ron Combs American (Freelance) Ron Combs is STCW-95 certified, and although somewhat new to yachting, he has been employed in the culinary industry for nearly 6 years. Ron's interest in cooking started from childhood, and after graduating from the International Culinary School at the Art Institute International Minnesota, he owned and operated two catering businesses, and taught cooking lessons at an upscale culinary school for home cooks in Saint Paul. He considers his specialty to be healthful cuisine using fresh (and local) ingredients whenever possible. Ron aims to please his guests, and is not afraid to tackle any culinary request.
